David John Wood, 60, of Austin, Texas, passed away on February 16, 2011 after a short battle with cancer. He was born on November 4, 1950 in Littlefield, Texas to John and Gwyneth Wood.

David was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Michael Clem Wood. He is survived by his daughters, Traci Wood of Georgetown and Shawna Fisher and her husband Bradley of Leander; son, Erick John Wood; granddaughters, Addison and Zoey Wood; brother, Stephen Wood of Levelland; and nephews, Nathan, Zachary, and Dylan Wood.

In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of David Wood may be made to the American Cancer Society.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Friday, February 18, 2011 at Beck Funeral Home, Cedar Park, Texas. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, February 19, 2011 at Beck Funeral Home, Cedar Park, Texas. A graveside service will be at 10:00 a.m. Monday, February 21, 2011 at Levelland City Cemetery, Levelland, Texas.
