Donny "Fox" McDaniel

1950-2009

SHARE THIS STORY: DIMMITT - Donny "Fox" McDaniel, 59, died Monday, May 4, 2009.
Memorial services will be at 10 a.m. Friday in Barn Church in Hereford with the Guy Walker, pastor, officiating. Arrangements are by Cox-LaGrone Funeral Home, 4180 Canyon Drive.

Donny was born Feb. 3, 1950, in Boise City, Okla., to Lloyd James and Geraldine Elaine McDaniel. He spent the majority of his life living in Dimmitt, where he enjoyed being a true cowboy. Donny loved training his horses as well as working with his mules.

He spent a lot of his time working with the local 4-H. Donny was by far a jack-of-all-trades. He was a spur maker and also worked with leather. Donny was a member of Barn Church in Hereford. He will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Survivors include three sons, Todd McDaniel and wife Michelle and Rodney McDaniel and wife Mandy, all of Hereford, and Rusty McDaniel and wife Natalie of Corona, N.M.; two brothers, Stanley McDaniel and wife Rita of Dimmitt and Tony McDaniel of Fort Worth; three sisters, Karen Teders of Fairbanks, Alaska, Lisa Rinehart and husband Frank of Purcell, Okla., and Kim Lively and husband Ron of Guymon, Okla.; and eight wonderful grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials be to Lazarus Restoration Project, 3948 Farm-to-Market Road 1057, Hereford, TX 79045.
